I'm using sql server 2005 develop edition.
Can anyone tell me how to setup the connectionstring and run the personal site starter kit?

You only have to setup your connection strings like this in web.config file :
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP of your web page SQL server
SECURITYDATABASENAME - asp.net security database [:)][:)]
ALBUMDATABASENAME - album database
You can also use this connection information on your computer at home and in that case you can setup security for your page from inside your development environment Website->Asp.Net configuration in VS2005

Why we need to do < remove name = "LocalSqlServer"/>
<add name = "LocalSqlServer".....>
And how to use .mdf file?
I'm only trying to setup in my local workstation.

I think that we have to delete LocalSqlServer connection to replace default server security SQL database connection by you web page SQL express security database, but I am not sure about it.
If you have developer edition of SQL server 2005 you can run
SQL server Management studio , connect to your SQl server and next right click on Databases in object explorer tree and select
Attach.. from menu. Next you can find your mdf files and connect them to your server.
You can also create new database and next execute in it SQL script "personal-add.sql" from
App_Data directory which will create database structure for you.
If you have SQL server on your local box you can try to use SQL server name instead of IP address in your connection string.
