Upon reviewing the log files googlebot is able to throw this error: "Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory". which leads me to believe after so many errors it gives up.
I don't wanna hear that it's a referring links issue. That only effects page rank not indexing.
Anyone using 4.x that has had their site successfully indexed?
Anyone experience this too?

I presume you mean errors like "Default.aspx?tabid=875&error=Cannot+use+a+leading+..+to+exit+above+the+top+directory.&content=0"
I'd recommend you check it via fiddler (http://www.fiddlertool.com/fiddler/),it's possibly an error in the skin i.e. the skin has ../../image/myimage.gif when it should be ../image/myimage.gif
I've helped a few people with this error in the past, and that's whats it tends to be eg.
"Cathal thanks, it turned out it was the radtreeview, the radcontrolsdir was set to dir="../radcontrols" and in friendlyurlmode it couldnt find it "

Those are exactly the errors im getting.
Im not using relative paths.
Everything is absolute server paths ie : "/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx"
I notice however the sites that get indexed are using absolute paths :
Also could this be an issue with resoving the "Use Friendly Urls?" setting. I have it set to use friendly urls and any hardcoded links use the same format. so why would google be looking for the
