We have and ASP.NET 2.0 web app for holding manufactured product information.
We are a U.S. based company and our app is not localized. However, we now have a customer now whose products use names with some non-English symbols. For example ü.
We have a forum with a dynamic GridView that we create on teh fly with template fields that hold a textbox. The textbox is bound to a custom business object (using CSLA). The GridView loads with the correct characters. The ü shows when I load the page.
However, when I postback and reference the value from teh textbox in the GridView, the ü is gone. Before I do anything with teh value or even try to save it, the value is gone.
Any idea what I have to do for this character and other charactersets to show up in my postback so I can save them to the database? Thanks
