I've developed a web app for a client over several years (C#, 1.1 framework, SQL Server 2000) and after moving to a different employer doing only internal work, I am no longer able to continue developing for the client. I would like to hand off the project
to someone I know though the fine developers I've worked with are not available. The client would prefer to have the developer local in Minnesota and able to fully support their development needs for the years to come. New franchise stores (physical buildings with
corresponding web stores) should be opening in the coming years and his development support needs may range from 5 to 20 hours per week. It is an interesting business model that appears to be growing quite rapidly so I know there will continue to be needs
to expand the functionality of the site.
The owner is looking for someone who is truly reliable, an advanced .NET developer, and able to translate business needs into a well functioning intuitive user interface. He mainly has needs for a developer who is confident in all aspects of the development
life cycle and knowledge of orderly methods to modify and deploy an existing application. I have had the ability to accomplish much of his graphic needs though this can be provided by others if the team can coordinate their efforts well.
The site has an ordering/registration mechanism for customers who pre-order items and pick up the products or come to attend a session on site to assemble the products they will have purchased. The site administration is used as part of each store locations
daily operations and uses role based authentication for the various administrators and users. All database calls use stored procedures and some UDF’s. There is one site that allows selecting a store location and selecting from the given stores distinct offerings
and settings (different state tax rates, assembly/pick-up only, product admin/store, etc.). I can answer more questions about the site architecture upon request.
If you have some interest or can recommend someone who would like to be considered, please reply to this post. Please give some means to indicate your qualifications and I may pass on this information to the client. Thanks.
