I browsed some other posts for this problem, however have not found a solution to my specific problem.
1. I have a custom control that has a linkbutton.
2. The linkbutton has a response.redirect event associated with the onClick event.
3. The page to where the redirection occurs has a Request.UrlReferrer reference, however the value of Request.UrlReferrer is always null.
4. I tried Server.Transfer, however that does not work, in that no redirection occurs.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I do a test on my local machine and everything works fine.
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
I advise you to do further test using two simple pages like mine.

Well...like I said...I think it has something to do with the fact that the onclick event occurs in the user control that is in the page...

I get the same issue. The strange thing is that it works ok with Firefox. When I test with Internet Explorer, the content of the UrlReferrer is still null. I don't get it.

Request.UrlReferrer can only be used with Hyperlink control
