Thanks for replying. Yes the local user(uncuser) is setup on the remote storage server and has modify rights on the share and full control of the share. I can connect to the password protected share and hit the 404.htm file in the dnn folder but when it
attempts to run the install script I get that error message.

I've tried running in both full and medium modes. I also tested your suggestion with the impersonate key, but I get the same error message. We are using local users at this time because we are setting our hosting up in a data center. We don't want to put
a DC out there yet or unless it's absolutely necessary.
Thanks again for replying. I'm kind of stumped at this point.

Ok I figured it out. I stumbled upon this guide through a google search.
It has info about running a web farm from a unc on page 12. I ran these two commands on the web servers which are located in the .net2.0 folder.
caspol -m -ag 1.
-url "file://\\svrstor1\dnn\*" FullTrust
Aspnet_regiis.exe -ga svrweb1\uncuser
