Is it possible to get this connected to a remote sql server? I seem to ahve the connection string right but I get the:
User does not have permission to perform this action.
I'm not sure what user needs permission tho. This is all dev so I have full rights on the web server and the remote SQL xpress server. I tried attaching the db to the sql express server too. It's also allowing remote connections. Here is an example of the
connection string I am using:
Anyone have any ideas? I've tried setting the user as my domain admin account just to test. So I set the web site to auth with my user. I also tried setting the user on the service as my domain
admin user. Set everyone permissions. Thanks for any suggestions!

I have enabled TCP/IP on my local machine and uploaded the default Personal Starter Kit to my Hosted site, the hoster technical support say that they do not support SQL2005 Express but support SQL 2000 and ASP.NET 2.0. Is there some way I can enable the
SQLExpress to work with Remote connections on the hosted website ? I get error :Exception Details:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does
not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
