After digging around a bit and having my own issues with getting the installation to work with SQL2K I thought it would be a good idea to post a step-by-step guide for anyone else having trouble with their TimeTracker installation on SQL2K. Some of the common
errors that you may have come accross are:
Error 602 which is a sysindex error asking you to run DBCC CHECKTABLE when trying to attach the TimeTracker.mdf file.
Several constraint errors with various FK_ constraints that could not find the aspnet_users table in the database after running the timetracker-add.sql file.
Could not find stored procedure aspnet_CheckSchemaVersion error in the browser after running the timetracker-add.sql in Query Analyzer.
Here's what you need to do:
Step 1 - In enterprise manager or Query Analyzer or another database tool create a blank table. I named mine TimeTracker.
Step 2 - Browse your file system for C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\[latest version]\aspnet_regsql.exe and double-click this file. You will be greeted with the Welcome To ASP.NET SQL Server Setup Wizard. Click 'Next.' Choose
'Configure SQL Server for application services,' click 'Next.' Enter your database info for the table you created in Step 1 and finish off the wizard.
Step 3 - Open Query Analyzer or another database tool and execute the timetracker-add.sql (located in the TimeTracker installation directory in the App_Data folder).
Step 4 - Open a browser window and have fun, your database should work now.

Thanks for the info. I was able to get this working on my local machine, however I am having trouble in production. Am I correct that there are 2 conn strings in the web.config. One is used on your local machine in dev (uses the included TimeTracker.mdb
file) and the second uses your production SQL server? I'm new to 2005, how do I set it up for production? I created a new Data Connection and see it listed in the Server Explorer now. What is the next step?
Thanks for your time.
