When I open a project in Visual Studio, I get an alert box saying, "FrontPage has detected a web server conflict on Port 80, which has server extensions fro the FrontPage Personal Web Server but is running a Microsoft-IIS/5.1 server. FrontPage requires that
you install the FrontPage Extensions on this new server before using it....."
I get around this by continually hitting cancel until the alert goes away.
I do not want to use FP Extensions. I removed any extensions (and FrontPage) and this alert was the result. Do I need to restore the Extensions? I am the only one using this server.
If a solution is to change ports, how do I change ports? When I do change ports in the IIS explorer, 80 to 8080, I get a failure to connect to server alert and the project does not open.
What are the solutions to my dilemma?
Thank you for your responses.
