I have a custom module with its default , edit, detailed view etc pages. I want to show a summary of items of this module in a different part (i.e. in a different tab) of my site as in Blog Archieve in Core Blog module.
How can I do this? Should I write another module with only 1 default view and somehow tie it to main module? If this is the way can somebody shed a light to my misery by helping me figure out how to do it? If not what is the best way to do this?
Also how does the Blog Module achieves to add 3 different controls when it is set up first time in a tab?
I might be over my head but curiosity still didn't kill me :)

To see how the blog module adds three controls to the page at once, see its .dnn file. If you want a summary module you will need to write another control w/ a module definition to do this w/ your custom module. It should be pretty simple to create as it
would probably just be a grid or datalist that is populated by a single query which has date or a # contstraint. If it should be a single or seperate module is up to you.

Thanks Chris.I had figured this out. I have another question for you though since I catched you answering my question. Both forum and Blog modules have main view where I assume they load other controls into. I tried to do same thing but I couldn't get my
controls loaded into main view. How do the core modules achieve this? Also to write the links to the buttons and hyperlink controls do you use one of the overloads of NavigateURL or EditURL or the core team are creating them on the fly?
