I’m having problems getting ASP.NET to work in Visual Studio.NET 2003 Professional.
I have installed both IIS and Frontpage extensions.
I am also using Net Framework SDK 1.1 which came with Visual Studio.
When I try to create a new ASP.NET application, I get the following message
“Visual Studio.NET has detected that the Web server is running on ASP.Net version 1.0. The web application you are creating or opening can be configured to be compliant with ASP.Net 1.0.
However, the application will not be able to use new features from ASP.NET 1.1.”
After I hit OK, I get this error.
Unable to create web project ‘WebApplication1.’. The path ‘c:\inetpub\wwwroot\webapplication1’ does not correspond to the URL ‘http://localhost/webapplication1’.
The two meet to map to the same server location. HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem.
