I have been working on a custom module for quite sometime now. Today I finally had the time to upgrade DNN from 3.0.1 to 3.2.2. After upgrading I'm having a few problems with the development of my custom module.
I have been using the solution file under DotNetNuke.DesktopModules, but when I attempt to open this solution I receive about 39 errors concerning functions that are obsolete (See below for an example). I also noticed that all of the projects reference
DotNetNuke.dll under VSWebCache. I tried to clear the cache and restart IIS, but it did not work.
Also, opening the DotNetNuke.DesktopModules.sln file and adding my project to it seems to crash my dnn web site with an error message concerning Global.ascx.vb. (I can give more detail if needed).
Any direction on this would be great...
Example of Obsolete Error Messages:
'Public Function FormatEmail(Email As String) As String' is obsolete: 'This function has been replaced by DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.HtmlUtils.FormatEmail'
'Public Function SendNotification(MailFrom As String, MailTo As String, Bcc As String, Subject As String, Body As String) As String' is obsolete: 'This function has been replaced by DotNetNuke.Services.Mail.Mail.SendMail'
'Public Function XMLEncode(HTML As String) As String' is obsolete: 'This function has been replaced by DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.XmlUtils.XMLEncode'
