I've got this as well... been trying to find an asnwer to it.
I installed 402 from scratch, made a second parent portal and uploaded skins to host and admin in the original portal. Now when I log into the second parent portal, none of the skin preview images show... just red x's.
Anyone know what this is about?

Ok thanks for the responses. I've messed with it a little more using the suggestions..
After going back and forth a heap of times I can confirm that it is Firefox alone that is not showing thumbnails, regardless of which account and regardelss of which portal... I did try reparsing as well, but no go.
I guess this is one I'll just have to wait for.. is there a good and legible 'known issues' list somewhere for DNN? It seems I and many others spend far too much time chasing after things that are already known issues. I reckon
a list of the main few dozen should be included with each version..same as most apps have.

Hi thanks for the link. I have looked through that page a few times over the year, but it's really a developer's bug tracker rather than a common or known issues list for users... it's just too obscure.
708 issues there for the core and searching for
skin thumbnail or skin preview image doesn't bring up the issue from this thread.... I'm sure it's there somewhere, but meh...
What I'm getting at is that someone from the core must have a better overview of what's going to get people stuck when they use the latest release... even the simplest things like the file uploads limit just carries on and on
with each release and it catches everyone out.. it's not a bug, but it is an issue that needs to be spelled out somewhere more useful... like in a readme file.
just my pennies gleaned from spending the last year and a half in here.
