I need to create a management page for multiple portals of a single owner; there may be many owners with multiple portals all under one host. So the database will house many portals with some related to the same owner.
I'm creating an ecommerce solution that the owner will manage their sites from a single management site. So they could have many web sites that they own. What I'm thinking about is: I see in the portal table there is administratorID which if I could use
in the creation of the child sites (portals) to be the same, then I could call all portals with a certain administratorID and get the data related to those portals. So I may need to affect the portal creation procedure to make this work.
Example: John Smith owner of 3 sales web sites: John's Phones, Mary's Jewlery, & Tony's Hardware. Each have their own unique store with unique contact info,etc..
John handles all the sales order management from a central point, where he will review orders and ship out orders. So this management page will have to pull the data from all portals related to this owner.
Does anyone have ideas on how in the creation of the portals I can have a common value to keep these portals sales data joinded to a single owner?
