I have installed personal starter kit on IIS6 running on windows 2003 and asp.net 2.0. the database is connected to sql 2000. everything is running for the most part.
I am not able to log on to the site with any usernames. (i see username under users table on sql)
on the system i have ran aspnet_regsql.exe command to add the different tables and procedures for user management.
I am using the web developer 2005 express edition and i am not able to find the asp.net configuration tool under the website menu. but i don't think that's my problem since i am able to create an account under the register option of the website.
I am guessing this has something to do with my configuration. I don't think this is sql permission issue since i am able to create the account from the website.
any suggestion will be helpfull.

What happens when you log in with a user that you registered? Does it show a logout button? I pretty sure by default a new account is not assigned a role in the personal site kit. So nothing would change when you log in. You will need to have an account
assigned to the admin role in order to see anything change after you log in. Open Visual Web Developer and load your website, don't run it. Then look over on the Solution Explorer and there should be a icon at the top that says ASP.NET Configuration.

I am not able to login at all with any users. I get the following error when i try to login with the username i know exists in the aspnet_Users table "Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again."
I was able to get to the ASP.net configuration page and setup the user role so that i have both administrator and friends privilages.
thanks for your help.
