I have a client running DNN 4.0.2 on Windows 2003 Server with SQL Server 2005 EE (on the same box).
As the client has been adding pages the site has been getting slower and slower. A little investigation shows the slowdowns are coming from the GetTabs and GetTabsByParentId stored procs that are called by the dynamic menu (Tim Rolands' HouseMenu in this
If I remove the menu from the skin then pages load superfast. Put the menu back in and each page request takes SQL Server around 6 seconds of processor time, with each call to GetTabs and GetTabsByParentID taking up to half a second (500,000 milliseconds).
Anyone got any ideas how to speed these procs up?
I haven't yet tried the standard SolPartMenu, I am assuming this will have the same problem?
