I am populating dropdownlists in a module using the DNN List. How do you localize (either select the proper list name based on localization, or have two values for each item on a list???)
Help will be welcomed.

thanks for that Rodney. Indeed this is something very useful that needs to be adressed. I was thinking in the mean time of a temp solution:
create identical lists in the required languages and call the lists by a combination of a name with a suffix of the language, such as "en-US". Then when I use the
ctlEntry.GetListEntryInfoCollection(listname, value, parentname)
to call the list, create the list name by appending the right locale as suffix.
Its not a great idea, but do you think it will do the job??
could someone help with the code to get the locale??

Just an update,
I've created two identical lists in two different languages and named them with the same name but with the corresponding locale as a suffix. I've used
to get the locale. Then I appended it to the listname and called the list. This dynamically calls the correct list. Not a great solution (mainly because I have to maintain a number of identical lists with different text but with identical corresponding values
and mistakes could easily go unnoticed and currupt the data) but it works
