VS 2005 does support this when you open the web-sites up as IIS web-sites as opposed to file-system ones. This blog post talks a little about how to-do this:
One question is whether the multiple apps you have in your solution are separate applications, or whether they feed into a single application (and you've simply set up separate smaller web projects to make it easier to manage).
The above blog post shows how to-do this if they are separate applications (each with their own \bin directory). If you want them to feed into a single application (with a single common \bin directory that each project gets compiled to), then I'd recommend
actually migrating the application using the VS 2005 Web Application Project Option (http://webproject.scottgu.com) that makes this much easier to manage (note: it also has the same build\project semantics as VS
2003 web projects).
