I am currently using the Solpart Menu in my portal (DNN V3.2). The menu items would be visible to different categories of users, based on their
access rights. I wanted to know as to how I can achieve this in the Solpart menu (how I can enforce security roles to the diff menu items in the menu? for eg: if USER A logs on,he should not be able to view menu item A but item B only. If USER B logs on,he
should be able to view both menu items A & B n so on.). While some of these menu items currently point to other pages in the same portal, there are others which point to external sites.
We could do this on the page level ie have certain pages visible only to registered users and all but how can this be achieved on the Solpart
menu item level?
I would be really grateful if anyone can give me some info regarding this problem
ASAP(I hope you can understand :) ).

In short, in my interpretation of the question, is no. The menu is dynamic. It responds to the security roles and page / module settings that you use - that's the whole concept of it.
But you can look at alternatives like the module menus like the
http://www.houseofnuke.com or http://www.inventua.com and use the permission levels to display the module on the page, for users A & B.
You could also use links module or perhaps the powerlinks module that allows you to set permissions on each link - that's at
You need to find a module that sets permission at that level to get close to what you're looking for.
I'm not sure if the solpart menu has been released for dnn3, but you could also implement that module itself into the site.
Hope this give you some more ideas.

Thanx a lot. I found the Powerlinks module very apt for my portal (i had already checked out HouseMenu.)
Thanx again.... :)
