I'm new to DNN, but keen to start using it. I have managed to install it ok on my local Win2K machine and can access the site with no problems. I now want to build a new site and try out using DNN to manage the content.
So, I go to add a new portal - do I need to create the folders and configure the new site in IIS before adding the new portal - or does DNN do it for me ? Or do I have to set up the folders, configure IIS etc.. and set up the site before "adding"
it to DNN.
many thanks in advance

Many thanks. It does seem to have created a folder, but when I "added" the portal/site the page that returned was "Page Cannot be displayed", so I figured that there was a problem. When I looked in IIS there was no Virtual Web site created,
so thought that I needed to set it up myself beforehand.
Any help most welcome,

DNN doesn't create a site in IIS. It's one site, one program, multiple portals. Use aliases for the portals so you can reach them.
