I have a question on the web project conversion subject. I converted a 1.1 asp.net app to asp.net 2.0. I followed the tutorials provided by micorsoft to perform such conversion. The app was converted with no error or warnings. I created a clean asp.net 2.0
built. But after, compiling i went back the the virtual directory that i created on the development server to see the changes, and I noticed that the 7.1 solution folder for this application was not converted. the Application looks just as it was a 8.0 web
app. I'm concerned about this 7.1 solution folder because i don't know if i missed something while doing the conversion. Does anyone know why is that 7.1 solution folder in the virtual directory of the new converted asp.net 2.0 web application? One more
thing, if i go and open that 7.1 solution file or folder using vs.net 2005 through the file system, the convertion wizard is launched and the solution is converted to 8.0 with no errors. Both ways of convertion work. The only difference between the converted
projects is that when i open the converted 8.0 project, i am able to veiw the setup project, which is within the converted solution. and when i open the converted project throught file/open web site/ converted website, i can't see the setup project. Does anyone
know what am i doing wrong during the convertion?

You should have opened the solution to convert the webproject in it. So that all the projects in the solution will get converted. When you open the web project thru File->Open Web site it does not have any knowledge of the parent solution and solution will
not get converted.
The setup project is part of solution thats why you donot see when opening the web project thru file->Openweb site. You need to open the solution to access all projects and web sites in the solution.
Any way you have converted your solution, so you are good to go..
