You could extend the open source newsletter I am working on if you want (give me a day or two to release my 'good' beta).
Since it's open source, you could share your code with the community or give it to me and I could integrate it and maintain it. I have used good DNN coding practices and hopefully made my code nice enough for something to expand upon.
I am way behind my promised schedule due to unanticipated crazy work hours in my normal job and a long vacation. However, I have something (beta) that 'works' now and will release a PA & code tonight or tomorrow night. My plan is to have something pretty
good and tested ready by January 15th.
I have opt-in with unlimited 'categories' if categories means email lists.
I archive newsletters but it is part of an email log for admin rather than a newsletter archive. I was not planning on adding this feature for sometime but a 3rd party module could probably use my logging interface for newsletters. If you are interested
in adding to my code, let me know so I can tailor my design to be compatible for newsletter archive.
I don't have daily digests or RSS. However, my provider interface allows you to write your own 'daily digest' fairly easily. All you would have to do is create a ContentProvider and schedule it to run once a day and it can send an email with getBody() returning
email text with links to newsletters for the day based on your own code.

I have an Opt In Email module that looks like it will fit most of your requirements. You can purchase the source as well if you need to make additional updates.

Hi, not sure it meets all of those but you can also purchase the source if you need to make your own changes. We are looking at adding some additional enhancements with a new release very soon and it should cover most of them that are missing.
A few notes:
* Yes, you can have opt in categories and individual emails tied to one or more categories. You can then distribute based on categories, export list of emails by category, etc..
* Sent newsletters are archived on the site under the respctive category *however* at this point there is no user viewable module to view these (only administror can go in and resend newsletter or see previous newsletters, review who it was sent too etc).
Adding a module to make these previous newsletter viewable from the users view is on the top of the list for the next round of enhancements. I will probably be looking at doing this in RSS format.
* At this time since the archived newsletters are not included for the user you can always link back to a page where you copy/paste the newsletter or possibly an an announcements module.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
