As I read about these "Google modules" and "widgets" I become more focused on what DNN really provides me. It provides a pre-built framework that I completely control for my objectives.
Google could offer a lot of exposure but other than that it is not a framework that I control. When I buy a module from snowcovered it is a module that I have complete control of.
This seems like a huge distinction to me. I think these companies will find that the only benefit they offer module developers is exposure. That is a good thing but a limited benefit.
