If I use DotNetNuke as a web framework for a distributable web application - is there an easy way to package the entire site into some sort of installation program?
Is there a way to make a site portable? Perhaps even to export the settings?
Any ideas or pointers on how you guys distribute a site built with DotNetNuke?

You can package it up with any changes you have made just like the original package.
It is about as portable as it can get. You will always need the person who installs it to apply their own connection string, and do the initial configuration.
Also look into using the Template Wizard for a default setup for the content.
After you have it set the way you want, you can export the template from the Host>Portals page.
