You'll need to post the full error. Plus, what URL you installed it from and what URL you're trying to access it from. You should be able to run it from the installation URL, usually
http://localhost/ or the like.

You need to add the system name as a portal alias. Host settings, alias. In this case, the server's IP is the alias you need to add.

On the local machine, go to http://localhost/DotNetNuke and log in as the host (superuser.) Next, from the navbar, select Host, then Portals from the dropdown list. In the upper part of the page, there'll be a
pane called "Portals." Two columns on the left will have the headers "Title" and "Portal aliases." There should be one alias listed, "localhost/DotNetNuke" (assuming you named your virtual web directory DotNetNuke.) You need to add a new alias.
Click on the pencil at the left of the title you want to set a new alias for, usually the first and only one, at this point in the game. Now you're in Site Settings. Scroll down until you see a pane called "Portal Aliases." Click on "Add New HTTP Aliases."
In the "Enter HTTP Alias:" box, enter the url of your server. If you the full name of your server and the DNN virtual directory is
http://www.falcon.com/DotNetNuke, put that in the box and click "Update."
That should do it. It's not very cotton-pickin' obvious.

No. Login as host. Go to Admin -> Site Settings. Bottom of the page. Add Portal Alias.

Again, try the instructions I just posted. That should do it for you. By the way, I didn't know there really was a www.falcon.com. I was just using the first word that popped into my wee mind. This is in no way intended as an ad for or endorsment of
