I have just had a nightmare with a hosting company who will remain nameless (for now).
DotNetNuke was installed - I spent hours setting up two Child portals, uploading loads of extra modules.
The site was working fine but I wanted to backup the database (just in case) but I could not log onto the hosts SQL control panel.
I submitted a support request - big mistake.
Their resolution was to reinstall the database, overwriting everything I had done - Their response to my cries of anguish was........
"We did not delete any of your site files"
Correct! They just deleted the whole database! I thought they would know how DotNetNuke works!
My question is this - how do I easily backup the database so that "support" don't delete everything again. There does not seem to be a way to do this throught their control panel.
Thanks - I am going to lie down in a darkened room for a while. [:'(]
