In a standard Hoster deployment, the DotNetNuke application will be installed in an IIS shared hosting account. Each account will have its own dedicated SQL Server database.
Only a single portal would be supported through this option. Both the Membership data and local application data will be stored in the same database.
In a more advanced Hoster deployment, the DotNetNuke application will be installed in an IIS shared hosting account. Multiple portals within the same database will need to be supported which means that the overall Membership solution
will need to handle the multiple portal virtualization model. Note that in this case it is possible to specify a data store for Membership which is separate from the data store for the application.
