Did you check out the forums on the dotnnetnuke site?

Yes, where is the "Project::Gallery" forum? It is missing from the DotNetNuke Forums page.
There are many users that have been waiting for a non-BETA version of the Gallery module (or at least a new beta that doesn't crash) for some months now, and viewing the Project::Gallery forum is one of the few ways to try to keep track of a hoped for new
release. Its absence is glaring.

It's going to be nice to see what comes out. Chris and his team have made a good job so far with the forum.
Meantime I have some requirement for a gallery that looks and behaves like the MSN,
http://spaces.msn.com gallery. Anyone seen something like that?

Same thoughts here.
But I'll step out on a rickety limb and add: I feel it is a diservice to those not in the inner circle, to close the relevant projects forums and not comment on it any further even tho there have been ample posts in here and
elswhere asking to know what has happened. Any communication at all is far better than saying nothing at all or leaving it to unofficial rumour. The only official word I've been seeing for ages now is that it's another week away.
Personally I'd quite like to see some sort of feature list even. I've been holding off for months now to see if the core forums plus core gallery are a more viable option than Active Forums plus something else. I've tested all the other dnn galleries now and
none of them are really suitable so I've been desperately hoping the core forums will fit the bill. Can someone who has used the new gallery list some of the functionality provided by it and how it works with the core forum? That would be extremely useful
We appreciate all the work done of course.

That's about as official an update as one could ask for; thanks Shaun.
If I may comment further (as I can never leave a problem as fixed without investigating the source)...
There is perhaps a need to consolidate the official communications channels in and around the whole DNN thing. Off the top of my head I can think of the DNN site homepage (in more than one spot), the top of this forum, the new DNN newsletter, the top of the
projects forums, the sub projects pages; each with their owners' blogs, and of course the projects forums themselves.
An ideal network of comms channels will bubble up relevant information to a single place that is visible from where the target audience tends to hang out. Even with all the other new channels, the best place for non-core users to get reliable and current info remains
this forum... and generally not at the top but down in the middle in repeated threads such as this one I'm writing in now.
Do I have a fix? Yep... get someone to devise a comms strategy and implement it.... just as one would in any business. I can predict that it will need a person to remain full-time in charge of communications effectiveness here.

Hi Rob and others reading. I wanted to take a moment after seeing this to respond. I can run down a list of excuses as to why I have not communicated and many of them are true and sincere, but I will not waste anyones time w/ that. I think the two projects
I manage have been very vocal via these forums, my project blogs, the blogs on dotnetnuke.com. The forums there went down like Shaun said so thats one less place I can speak, and my blog on dotnetnuke.com is not cooperating at this time so staying on top
of commucation w/ the outside community is a bit more difficult now than before. I have always tried to focus my attention on the specific forums there and through my blogs there. I then come into here and keep an eye out. As a moderator here I do see plenty
of the posts that come through.
If you have been following the forum project, you should see by now how the module just keeps getting better and better w/ each release. This will be the case w/ the gallery as well. I cannot speak for any of the other projects, but with the holiday season
upon us now, personally, I expect to see a die down in communication temporarily with my projects. This is just what one should expect from volunteers. All I can say at this point is there is a gallery and a forum release forthcoming extremely soon. Both
modules are simply going through testing now. The plan before was too push gallery about two weeks ago but it required a security fix which I was about to take on but then 3.2 dropping allowed several bugs to surface in the forum module which required my
full attention before anything else.
I do feel bad about the delay but I assure you it was not from a lack of effort by my project teams.
