I hope this is an appropriate problem for this list, if not let me know and I will post elsewhere.
I am setting up a new development box.
I have installed everything that I need. I have copied all my code from my old development box to the new development box.
I am pretty sure I have set up IIS the same as my old box for each of the applications that I am working on.
I open VS.Net and open one of the DNN solution files.
I can rebuild the solution without any problem.
When I try to run the application from VS.Net (Debugging or Not) I get this error:
"An error has occurred writing to the exception log. The permissions are not set properly on the log file or directory, or the log file has been marked as READ-ONLY."
I have inspected the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Logfiles\W3SVC1 files and directories for any discrepancies between new and old.
I can not see any differences in reguards to security.
Infact the logs are happening.
I have inspect the Sql server data base security and do not see any differences.
I know this is simple but can not seem to find my problem.
