Hi, after many hours on the phone with fasthosts they finally agreed to try an installation themselves. Unfortunatly they were unable to get DotNetNuke 3.1.0 or 3.1.1 to work on their servers. They agreed it was a permissions issue but were unwilling to
change the setup of their servers. Fortunatly I am still within the 30 day money back guarentee on the account so am going to find a new host. Can anyone recommend a good hosting company in the UK that definatly support DNN 3.1.1
thanks Cathal for your quick response, much appreciated

If installing to a folder immediately off the root of the drive, the NETWORK SERVICE account needs file scan rights on the drive root. It's a Windows thing. :)

If I install DNN on E: so that its path is E:\DotNetNuke, are you saying I have to give read access to E:\ for NETWORK SERVICE? I don't see that in the install directions. I don't have that on my C:\ drive now and DNN is working just fine there. I made the
exact same security settings on E:\ that I made for C:\. It worked on C:\ and not on E:\. I don't understand what you are trying to say.

When I look at the security settings on the root of C:\, shouldn't I see NETWORK SERVICE listed as having access? I don't.
