Sorry, I have no light to show you. I was just taking a guess that it was the querystring. I don't know anything about the control you are using, but I can make a second guess. Perhaps the control is using data from the HttpRequest that has been modified
by the Rewriter (RawURL? UrlRefferer?) and since the Request data is different, the control is failing?
Could they have built a simple Referrer based security mechanism into the control so it would only send responses to requests that had the correct referrer URL? The Rewriter could mix up the Referrer test (I think).

I checked both the friendly and querystring forms and here are their respective urls:
The querystring parameter is not embedded into the url in the friendlyurl version so I don't think that the problem lies in the call sequence of the httpmodules. I could be wrong though, so please show me the light.
