I have built and deployed some wap applications, and tested them after installing wap connector! but my question is: what is really a wap connector? Is it something diffrent from a wap gateway? And what does it do? And can I deploy my wap site successfully
with out it (web server without any extra software)?...
Actually I'm really confused about it. cause after testing my applications, I was told that I don't need a wap connector, a web server is enough to connect my site. But what is really happening when I uninstall the wap connector and call my wap pages (.asp
or even .wml) is: a "wap: server connection dropped" message on my phone.
If anyone has any idea, docs... Please advice.

About WAP Connector "WAP Connector provides WAP Server functionality for normal web servers, such as Microsoft IIS, by integrating a WAP stack into the web server." When developing ASP.NET mobile applications you don't need connector software running on
IIS. ASP.NET mobile applications are more wider than usual script pages that output WML for devices.

But I still don't understand the (wap: wap server connection dropped) error message I get when I call my pages (whether wml or asp.net) without a wap connector software installed on my sever. Is there
a specific configuration I should set to my server?
