Hi everyone. I have a huge issue with the default MPS web interface. We do hosted exchange AND sharepoint, but we have many customers who use our hosted sharepoint but have their own email addresses. You need to have the email attribute filled on their
user accounts for full sharepoint useability. (Such as alerts, etc.) How can I add in a field on the 'create business user' page to enter the 'email address' attrivute in AD?
I would greatly appreciate any and all help I can get on this! I am getting rather desperate :-) I have been digging through all the code and cannot find what the variable name for the email address in MPS would be.
I would think I am not the only person with this issue. If anyone has already modified their default mps page to add this field, I would appreciate your code :-)

AD stores e-mail for user object in attribute "mail". But actually it is useless because
WSS DOES NOT USE Active directory as a directory service. WSS has its own directory (in SQL DB) where it keeps different user attributes (Display name, e-mail, site groups membership, etc.) and this directory is not synchronized with AD. So,
to solve you problem, you have to add e-mail to "Sharepoint user account". I see at least three ways how to do it:
1. Instruct users to update e-mail addresses using Sharepoint Site Administration
2. Dig into WSS SDK and develop your own procedure
3. Use SQL to update e-mail attribute directly in content database (table UserInfo, column tp_Email)
