Not all of us have the luxury of setting up our own mail servers. In most cases - in pay for use hosting environments, SMTP authentication is enabled such that it can be reasonably secured against spammers using the domain's mail server for outgoing spam.
SMTP authentication is defined as having to provide a username and password when sending a mail message (much like when using outlook or any other mail program).
This article walks you through one possible solution to provide the mechanisms to have your CSK / GCN sites to be configured with a SMTP username and password for authentication purposes and further securing your mail servers against unauthorized mail relaying.
