This would be perfect for me if you could IMPORT a spreadsheet. I don't know of any modules that currently do this. I would be willing to pay for one though...(hint, hint)

suggestion - obtain a copy of ExcelEverywhere - this neat program generates asp.net code for any excel spreadsheet. Once generated then convert to module add any extra code needed and away you go.
I use this program to generate client data input screen modules, financial calculation modules etc The code is generated in such a way that you have access to individual data items via hooks in the code ( you could read them in or store them etc). You can
then sort it store it or do anything your heart desires. Generates C or vb code behind

I am trying to use Advanced Data Grid with an Excel file and I cannot get it to work ( a user limitation issue ). I use the module in many ways with SQL Server on DNN successfully, but I do not know how to set the module for use with an Excel spreadsheet.
Could someone provide an example of how to set this?
I put in the following for the connection string, using the example above, and then updated the path for the file I am trying to target... IssueList.xls
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=H:\TestPortals\TLGA\Portals\0\FileManager\IssueList.xls;Extended Properties=""Excel 8.0;HDR=Yes;IMEX=1""
Assuming this is correct, I need an example of how to set the "SQL Statement" field on the module for Excel. After putting in the connection string, it is still looking for some statement. I think that an example would get me going.... do I still use the
SELECT Statements similar to SQL?
I am using DNN 3.0.13 in this case.
