I hav found that the asp:uploadfile conponent is not as flexible as i want it to be so i started building my own however i need to be able to use the System.Windows.Forms.OpenFileDialog
box to find the file(s) i want to select, however im getting an error saying that i need to be in "UserInteractive mode". Does anyone know how i could change modes in order to use this control, or is there even asp control i dont know about that would allow
me to do this.
The following is the error that the browser is showing:
Showing a modal dialog box or form when the application is not running in UserInteractive mode is not a valid operation. Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification
from a service application.

You need to review your understanding of the technology because what you are attempting is not an option.
a Windows application feature for opening a file box. This is a web page, not a Windows app, so its not available.
If you were to create an ActiveX with windows features, it would still be difficult since security is a big issue with browsers and you are trying to write code that accesses files on a user's computer. (That's a big security breach.) That's why the browser
handles this for you.
