I've been using the getobject("iis://servername/w3svc) call to add/edit iis sites on different servers from a central control panel tool that our users use to setup new websites on their own servers, or our shared servers. Up until recently it has worked
At about the same time we started to roll out SP1 for our win2k3 servers, I started getting the "out of memory: getobject" error for that call to any server that exists at a remote location, but local servers are still fine. These remote locations have trusted
access through our firewall and are joined to our domain, and as I mentioned, had worked well with the getobject call before sp1. Access from these remote servers to our domain is still functioning as well.
Has anybody had this problem as well?
