Case: the prospects download various products from the site, I need them to fill out a simple form (email, name ect.) this then generate a ticket/lead which the sales guys can follow
I can’t bother the prospects to registrar at the site, besides registration will not generate a lead every time they download.
Has anybody seen such a module?
Thank in advance

I have a Downloads module on
my site, it does not have the feature you spoke of, and I personally have not come across one that has, however, you can take a look at the module and if you feel you can use it, let me know and it could be modified to meet your requirements.

You may be able to do a workaround using Form Creator.
Create the form that collects the information you want, then redirect them to a hidden page with the download. Not exaclty tight as a drum, but very workable. And if every download is on it's own page they would need to fill out the form at least once to
get to it. This would then also allow them to set the page as a favorite and return to download again if required without having to complete another form.
Simple yet effective.

I too want a similar solution for my portal.
I have Ent. Forms with me. Can I do the similar thing what you mentioned using Ent. Forms.
Please let me know how to do this using Ent. Forms.

Sorry to say, no we did not. In the meantime we had made a solution with an Xmod form, a similar approach described elsewhere in this thread.
But it’s not the most elegant solution and its hard to maintain when you are facilitating multiple downloads.
So we decided to create our own DNN module from scratch.
Then you just drop this module on any given page, point to the file you want to make available for download.
It can collect various marketing/lead information, which is stored a SQL-table.
It can auto respond with a “Thank you for downloading, here’s you trial S/N” type of email.
Is this similar to what you are looking for?
I expect we have it ready and polished of it about a week or so. I’ll make a posting here when we’’ get to that point.
