I've found that VS.Net will change an Ampersand (when used in concatenation), into the HTML representation (&) -
It seems to modify HTML tags, with its own ideas, which end up mangling my code - then I must figure out what it did to the code, when it, of course, won't run correctly...
Is there any way to turn this off?

This feature is supposed to be correctly in VS 2005. It happens when you switch between Design and Source View. You are not alone in finding this troublesome. Some programmers even go as far as not using the Designer at all.
