We currently are able to run vb.net on a network using a Trusted Strong name key, that allows the compiled assembly to execute.
That is good for sql server, but I have a .net app using microsoft.data.odbc.ddl (sybase) and the strong name key is associated with the exe.
when I try to log into the database, I get a request failed error. Seems that I probably don't have trusted security privs on the microsoft.data.odbc.dll.
Is there anyway around this problem? How can I run a sybase vb.net app over the network.
we have other sql server apps that do work using the strong name key.
