We have created a portal with a large hierarchical structure in DNN2. The tabstructure is 5 levels deep and consists of 700 tabs on the 5th level. In DNN2 the performance is good, we only had to replace the default horizontal menu navigation. Now we have
migrated the portal to DNN 3.013. In this version the performance is really bad, especially for update actions. It takes minutes for updating for example the settings of a page/tab.
Can we improve the performance, will the performance be improved in a next version or is DNN just not developed for creating such large and deep portals and did we choose the wrong solution?

You have not chosen the wrong solution... *grin*. Give me a ping off-forum and we'll look into this.

Similar situation -- we have performance problem on DNN 3.0.13 with about 1500 pages. Creating/updating tab takes several minutes. You can stop the operation in browser, switch to doing other things with portal, but the update goes on in the background,
and after some time of the committed changes become visible.
In all other aspects the performance is quite good.
What is something that was fixed in later versions of DNN? Or is it a limitation of DNN? Does anybody know what is the number of pages, when page operations performance is still reasonable?
