So far, I've been working with DNN 3.0 in a dev environment, so maintaining content hasn't been a concern when performing upgrades. However, I will be working with a production site, soon, and I'm concerned with the specifics of performing upgrades, while
still maintaining site content. Does anyone have any insight to offer on this?
A couple of things I'm wondering, in particular:
Is an upgrade simply a matter of overwriting the old DNN files with the new ones (and simply preserving the 'portals' subdir)?
What about custom modules? I'm betting that any modules I add/develop will need to be readded to the VS.NET solution after an upgrade. Will I have to add the definitions in DNN, as well?
