This has been driving me nuts for a while. For some reason, I can't uncheck the Build boxes on any of my projects in the Configuration Manager. Usually it doesn't matter to me, but I currently have 17 projects in the solution I'm working on. Waiting
for all of these projects to build every time I hit F5 is getting tiresome.
Does anybody have any idea why I can't uncheck the boxes? I don't get any error. Nothing happens at all.
I thought maybe it had to do with the fact that SourceSafe has all of the projects marked as read only, but checking them out doesn't help, nor does manually taking the read only attribute off the files. In fact, I just tried creating a new solution with
a couple of projects in it...not under sourcesafe at all....and same thing. I can't NOT build any of the projects.

That ain't it, neither. I made one of my other developers try it, and when he tries to change one of the check boxes, he gets prompted to check out the solution from VSS. Then he can change them.
On my machine, when I click on anything in the grid, focus is set to the item I clicked. But that's it. Clicking on the drop downs gets no results. The check box doesn't respond.
I get nada. Zilch. Nuffin'. Zero. The big goose egg. I'm O fer.
The gods of the IDE have forsaken me. WHY!?!??! MY EMPIRE IS CRUMBLING!!!!
