I would like to change the IWAM user for a specific website to a domain account. I have 1-2 websites that will need to use this Global IWAM and 3-4 other websites that will need to use the local IWAM. Clustering is not an option.
Is this possible? [A]

You can't do this on 2000. You'd be well served by upgrading to Windows 2003 and using tje IIS6 Application Pool functionality.

You can in a way:
- isolate each site to 'high' application protection (this will create a new com+ package in component services)
- go to component services mmc - and modify the launching application for the package.
each high isolation application is hosted in a dedicated dllhost.exe - hence you can customize the process identity.
