Your production server probably doesn't have the image mappings in IIS. There are about a million posts in the forums here about it (search on "mappings"). In short, the gif, jpg, and jpeg file extensions have to be mapped to the ASP.NET dll. This is an
IIS configuration issue and with most web hosting providers you have to have their support staff make the mappings for you. If you own the server you can set this up yourself.
