Nik, By default, if a user registers with the same username/password combination on two portals using the same database, then there is only one Users record with two UserPortals records allowing them to have access to both portals. When they switch between
those two portals, they remain logged in. John

I went with the UCanUse Portal Mapper and had much success with it. However, over time I realized that there was little if anything I was offering Registered Users that I wasn't offering Anonymous users. So I removed the need to be registered on all sites.

I am in the process of making the parent site contain all the private material, and allowing each child site admin have their own set of registered users. Man, it's so much easier now that I don't have to customize every release with all my changes. Customers
are much happier now, too. They want their individual sites to maintain their autonomy.
