There really needs to be a step by step "How-to" (or more of them) on how to build a Mod for GCN. It would be very cool to see this on the GCN site. I made my first Mod (not a custom mod, I've made those) - based off of books mod. I propose a series of articles
on how to write a mod - step by step. This will help us to decide on steps to take regarding possible Mod setup wizards, for the day when we can buy 3rd party GCN mods and just install them, no recompiling. Anyone interested in co-authoring some articles with
me? I'm actually more interested in case studies. I use wilson o/r mapper in my mods, so its very fast.
Sedgewick, I'd be willing to help out! I started playing with creating How-To videos on using the GCN. My trial for the software ran out however I think this could be a viable option. Something similar to
learnvisualstudio.net. - Jeff
Here's one - We take something very similar to books, like cars. Cars will have a main photo, miles, some other text fields. We might want to use the cars section for a car show, so there should be comments and ratings. There's a million other things we could
do along those lines. Bottom line, is that in under 5 pages we can show step by step how to build a car (or whatever, Llamas, etc.). After that I'm game for video tutorials, I make them for my stuff, pretty easy to setup
