I was having a problem with the Web Services Boxes dissappearing so I decided to make a work around MOD for now. So I have done the following to correct the problem. If your interested in the MOD on this copy of the CSK just go to my company site and register
and you will have access to the developers forum and SourceCodeCenter->.NET there you will find my open sources for The Ecommerce Kit, Community Kit, Portal Kit and TT Kit. I am building a individual MOD download section along with the entire code sets are
available for downloading. Http://www.processtalk.com The work around for the Web Services is simple I created a small control that is a refresh image button that you place in your skin page. When the page default pae displays it check if you have a Webservice
exposed and refreshes the control similar to the refresh button in the admin section. It appears to be working ever since I finished it my controls stay populated and don't do the dissappearing act. With the community kit some of the modifications are: 1.
I have added menu images in each section so that you can upload images for your section menu along with its associated hover image. 2. I have fixed several bugs pertaining to images not showing when utilizing directory based images instead of database stored
images. I found that when using database images for skin related items if the site is utilized alot it builds up processes and open threads in the SQL database that cause the site to hit the SQL MAX POOL Limit causing the site to go down. So I have developed
a way for the site to utilize directory based images through the admin section. 3. I have developed a security tracking control and associated .CDF file that allows you to track many levels of the users interactions on the site. This also includes a channel
definition file that embeds in the background of your desktop so that you can monitor access at all times and lock out user sessions and pull activity reports without being in the site. 4. File download to disk, not just to the database. 5. Microsoft Project
Integration - A new section type that display the Task List, Resource Lists, Input and several reports from any Microsoft Project SQL based databased structure. I have implemented the Microsoft Project data structures into the Community Portal. 6. Some other
new sections are Calendaring, POP3/SMTP Email Client , Contacts, Knowledge Base, Directory based Download, addtional admin functionality, Web Services Update Control and some others. I have had my ecommerce MOD online now for a couple of months and now have
been working on the CSK for a month and will be supporting and publishing my MOD's and open sources for it starting Monday. If you would like to see some of them in action you can go to the following address: http://208.220.93.58 Sorry for the IP address but
the client that I am doing this Portal for bought there domain from some domain boiler room instead of Versign and the domain company is telling them that they can not change the DNS for 3 motnhs some rediculous internal rule they have. I have developed their
Portal as a subdomain off off the primary domain Http://www.xtendableapps.com. The subdomain is http://REIOffice.xtendableapps.com. Since XtendableApps.com will not be transfered by their ISP for 3 months you have to enter my DNS server into your network configuration
inorder to view the MOD to the CSK Portal, my DNS Server is 208.220.93.34. Once you enter my DNS you will be able to access the projects. As soon as I get the time I am going to bring up a sample Community Portal on my main site http://www.processtalk.com
so it will be easier for you to demo the MOD's. I will Probably have this done by the end of next week. If you have any question either leave them here or in my .NET discussion forum. Regards, Dean Meyers
