  Error message every time I try to add a new item to a project

  I am using Visual Studio 2019 and every time I try to add a new item to a project I get an error message that says "Member not found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020003 (DISP_E_MEMBERNOTFOUND)). I am new to Visual Studio and SSRS so I do not know how to fix it. Can anyone help.

  Hi LolaO88,

  Accroding to your description,I have tested but I don't reproduce your problems.

  I suggest you could do:

  1.Create a new project again and check whether it also have the same problems.

  2.Delete .vs folder.

  3.Use repair. Close all of visual studio and then open visual studio installer >more>repair.

  This is 100% a reproduceable bug that has appeared in version 16.8.2  of Visual Studio 2019 and it has been reported several times on stackoverflow.com.

  How can we get this reported to the people who broke it so that they can fix it in another update?
