I have set the following under my SQL data directory
When i try to create a database in my c# app , i get the following error
Error message "The file "MyDatabase.mdf" is compressed but does not reside in a read-only database or filegroup. The file must be decompressed."
My create database command in my c# app is as follows:
use master IF DB_ID(N'MyDatabase') IS NULL CREATE DATABASE MyDatabase ");
How can i create a db on a compressed drive ?

You have done the same for the LOGS file? According to
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/231347/description-of-support-for-sql-server-databases-on-compressed-volumes SQL Server won't write on compressed volumes.
It's a bit unclear what happens and what Windows does if you compress only parts of the drive (maybe you could try to uncheck that at the drive level and then compress selected folders?)
